Our Journey Through Time

The Navyug Education Society was established on 23/09/1958. It was registered under the Society Registration Act with Registration No. 8/27/1958 (Saurashtra) and under the Society Trust Act on 10/08/1962 (Reg. No. F-6, Junagadh).

Under this trust, Navyug Arts & Commerce College was founded. Later, due to the generous contribution of the Madhvani family, its name was changed on 01/04/1959 to Shri Kalidas Haridas Madhvani Arts & Commerce College, popularly known as K.H. Madhvani College, Porbandar.

Between 1958 to 1964, the college developed its own library with a generous donation from Shri Morarji Girdhar Shah, leading to the purchase of around 7000 books.

Architect Shri Jagdishbhai Shah of Bombay prepared a highly artistic and well-ventilated building design, approved under the leadership of Lt. Maharana Sir.

The main college building, hostel, compound wall, canteen, and internal roads were constructed at a total cost of ₹4,10,000.

From 15/06/1963, the college started functioning in the new premises. On 13/06/1963, the institution was inaugurated by Lt. Shri Ramnikbhai Madhvani, Shri Rajmikant Madhvani, Smt. Ramabhaben Madhvani, and Smt. Kasturhaben Madhvani.

The B.B.A. Faculty started in 1991, marking another growth milestone for the institution.
